Wherever The Wind Takes Us

It's time for another Notecard Party at A Haven For Vee.  I love that party.  It's kind of fun to look back through the archives and see photos you completely forgot having shared and getting the chance to share them again.

I always choose a theme for my cards,
and this month my theme is a color.

Can you guess what it is?

pssst... pink

That picture doesn't count, by the way. I've already shared it at a Notecard Party. It's just the photo I like to use to introduce a Pink Occasion around the home place.  We happen to be having one such Pink Occasion this week. Miss Whimsy has completed yet another year at Mercer University...

... which means that she is about to begin her senior year!
How did that happen?

In other years, we would have packed her up and brought her home for the summer by now. This summer is different, though. This summer, she is staying at school to complete an internship

Yeah, I'm pretty bummed about that.

I do have her home for a whole week, though, so I  plan to fill it to the brim

And refuse to let any blue creep in to surround my Pink.

No siree,..

Every day,
we've decided to step out of our usual and try something new.

Yesterday, we tried a new coffee shop.
It doesn't have to be big to be an adventure, you know.

Sometimes, it's a simple as going wherever the wind takes you.

Anybody want to come along?

*****
I'm going to try something else new this time around and not float off the face of the blog planet in so doing. Let's see how that plan works out....

I'll come along! "It doesn't have to be big to be an adventure..." So true.

I LOVE these photos Debbie! All that pink just makes me happy. And so does seeing that hot air balloon. (Someday I want to take a ride in one of those.)

Blessings!

Wow! A pink hot air balloon! Your photos are beautiful. It almost looks like you photo shopped the hot air balloon into that photo. I am amazed that you were able to get a shot of a pink h.a.b. surrounded by pretty pink Dogwood blossoms. Have a good week with Miss Whimsy. laurie

Senior year?!??!?! Woo hoo!!! Almost there! I know you'd like for her to come home, but that internship will be great for her...she'll get a lot of needed experience that will help out as she goes job hunting. That's just terrific!

Have fun during your week with your almost-college-senior!!!!

For us less-than-adventurous types, a new coffee shop is a BIG deal. ;) I hope you soak up every minute you have this week. Furthermore, I hope your Mother's Day was splendid. I adored your sofa post more than words can say. By the way, if you *are* missing from the blog world, you'll be missed, but for good reason. We forgive you in advance (just because I like it when people let *me* off the hook).

Hi Debbie, these photos are gorgeous as are the blooms in them. I seem to remember a photo of a Japanese Magnolia (I think that's what it was)on your blog somewhere that I really liked and I was half expecting to see it again today. Never mind though these flowers are every bit as pretty.

I think I'll take your advice and join the notecard party next time -thanks for recommending it to me.

Have a great time with your time with your daughter.

I love all your photos Debbie! Especially the last one with the baloon!

Time flies! I'm happy she got an intership - those are important - but sad that you don't get to have her home all summer.

yoohoo...Pink would be my choice! So sorry she can't spend the whole summer with you! Now, like you said no getting blue, be thankful for the week! Have fun

I'd love to come along, Debbie! And I love ALL of your pictures. My favorite is the one of the pink flowers with the pretty china and crystal in front. GORGEOUS.

This looks like a fun meme. I need to join you all some time.

I am back for the night, and there is still a HUGE mess everywhere, and I have almost no battery life left in this IPAD. I can't go online with it, but I can listen to music I have stored on it. I did that for the past two days... everything from hyms to Mo-twon to Rock "N Roll to Fred Astaire. He makes me happy!

XO,

Sheila

P.S. In that whole Yak, I didn't tell you to have one with your daughter! I know you'll enjoy every second.

I LOVE your pics! They are outstanding! I love pink too, isn't it just the softest, prettiest color?
I forgot we have children the same age. Mine is also going to be a senior (time flies so quickly) and is also doing an internship. He was home for a very short week and today we took him to the airport for Germany (for the rest of the summer.) He was anxious, nervous and quite squeemish about flying, just like me. It was tough being tough for him when all I wanted to do was put my arms around him and say, "...don't go!!". He texted and called me about five times while waiting for the flight...and now I'm tracking him on KLM flight tracker, praying for a calm, safe flight. I have no makeup left, for I've been teary all day, missing him and feeling sorry for myself because my youngest is grown and the simple childhood days are gone...ugh...sometimes life is just really hard.
