I am a firm believer that you can not travel twenty miles in any direction without seeing a something that makes you smile.
That's why I carry the shiny red Kodak at all times.
I was delighted to accidentally capture that
While I was trying to capture this
Sunflowers might be the happiest flowers of all.
They always look as if they have their heads together...
giggling.
giggling.
Now, if you venture just a little more, say thirty minutes down the road...
You might get the full out belly laugh.
Let's get a little closer...
Yep. It's moving day.
No need for one of those fancy dancy moving trucks around here.
We just plop the mattress and box springs
on the top of a compact car...
and we hold on...
Welcome to Georgia!
Why do I have the feeling that the one with his hand over his face is the teenaged son?
What made you laugh this week?
Nothing? Go take a drive.

LOL!
We're your next door neighbor so it must be contagious, Debbie!
I have to laugh because I read an article that said something discussed the dangers of the numerous articles of furniture, etc. that fall off of vehicles onto roadways and how it is highest here. I guess our boys need to take lessons from the boys up the road in Georgia in how to hang onto to your mattress. ;-)
Loved the giggling sunflowers, too, along with Old Red!
XO,
Sheila :-)
And of course my sentence made no sense. scratch out said something, and it reads okay!
This made me laugh this week!!! You must be magnetized to situations such as the matress on the car! Hilarious...and the Sunflowers are gorgeous!
I LOVE the South!
We always have "you might be a redneck if" moments at my house. Probably way too often...
I love how you are always able to find some of the most wonderful elements out of the oddest of situations! You never fail to make me laugh, and this is just another example of how you turn something like a matress on top of a car into a hilariously relatable story! I think I know where I get my sparkling wit and dazzling personality! And, of course, humility...
-Best daughter ever :)
That is sooo funny! We do that in Arkansas too - not me - I'd be like the teenage boy. Love that first picture too! I've never seen a field of sunflowers. So pretty!
The pick-up musta been in the shop...or mama had it out yard salin'.
Where is that beautiful field of sunflowers? I need to get out more!
Thanks for the beautiful pictures and the laughs.

Hi Debbie!
So glad that granola recipe will come in handy for you. I hope you and yours enjoy it as much as my family does. I love the sunflowers, they truly are my favorite!
For one, you make me laugh often!! Thank you! All the photos are great but the first one that captured the cute red kodak is my fave!! BTW, your nails look fabulous!
Debbie I pass through on US 1 on the way to see my kids who live in Augusta. I'll wave at you the next time I go by !

That top photo is very cool...love the red camera. I agree sunflowers are fabulous! The mattress kills me...I am afraid to have a long piece of molding in my car.
Great photos! There are so many times like those above that I wish I had my camera. You are smart to have it with you at all times!
I saw a field like that but unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me, nor do I now remember where it was at.
I've always thought a field of sunflowers or wildflowers was so beautiful. Makes me want to run through them if it wasn't for the fear of snakes.
That is just great...and I do the same thing. This week we used my phone to catch a dog riding with it's owner on the back of a motorcycle down the highway.
This picture is great...now you see it in Texas also.
Oh my husband hears me yell, slow down, turn, get closer...and he always does!
