It's time for the
Note Card Party
at A Haven For Vee.
That's when we venture into the echo chambers of our blogs and find
four related pictures
which could be turned into a set of note cards.
This month, my set of cards celebrates
National
Eat Your Veggies Day.
Now, National Eat Your Veggies Day was actually two days ago,
on June 17th.
But really folks...
Today and every day
it's important to make sure that a heapin' helping of vegetables
is the centerpiece of the family table.
This public service message has been brought to you by....
Chicken
Ham
And beef
What veggies are on your table?
As for me, I'll eat anything but carrots and turnips.
I've never actually eaten a turnip,
but I just have a feeling it tastes very turnippy...

Oh Debbie, these photos are adorable, I would do framed prints for the kitchen with them. I love carrots and turnips. I love turnips mashed (absolutely delicious!) and fried (even more delicious) but not very healthy :(. I have to admit I love most veggies except I can't stand okra, too slimy for me. xo
no turnips here either! :)
Love carrots, but have never eaten a turnip. Okay, I eat and love turnip greens, but that's totally different...right???? Not sure how that works.
Love that last photo of the cows in the background. Beautiful.
Mom got her port out this morning. Hallelujah!
Cracking up over here... very turnippy, now that's funny!
Great photos! And what a fun and cheerful tablescape! I love it!
Great photos, Debbie! I think they would make a fantastic notecard collection.
I'll even eat the carrots and turnips!! LOL!! Great note cards. blessings ~ tanna
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these photos and would so buy these note cards. Too nifty :)
Blessings!
Gail
Cute tablescape, the pocket napkins holders are the best! Love carrots and have to be honest, my family always made rutabaga, don't know if I've ever had a turnip... But think I'm gonna try one, you know, since it's National Eat Your Veggie Day and all:@)
See you are on a roll...well I did roll today, I went roller skating, but haven't even thought about what to blog.
I loved this table...it would have fit in at our trip to the Farm...too, too cute...now I need to go eat more green
Hi Deb! Where have I been that I didn't know about Vee and this nifty monthly Note Card Party? So glad I caught your post here and really checked it out - sounds like just the thing to get me back in the multiple posting mood this week. Been skimping in Blogland too long and with a great burden lifted from my shoulders these past two months, it's time I get back in the swing of things! I "noted" you in my debut Note Card post with a link back to you. Thanks for the intro to Vee's blog and some posting fun.
Joy!
Kathy
I love how you used your table decorations to bring us this message! So cute.
You will understand why I am really thinking a lot more about adding fruits and vegetables to my diet now...ahem.
It is sage advice - and you have re-inspired me to make a new commitment to the produce section of the market.
It's odd - there weren't too many vegetables that I liked when I was growing up. Now there aren't too many that I don't like. However, the three that have remained disgusting to me are these:
Brussels sprouts, lima beans, and creamed corn.
Have not tried a turnip - it may end up making my list...
(p.s. I'm finally publishing my post about Isaiah 40:31 tomorrow - phew!)
Oh dear...I missed eat your vegetables day but I'm happy to hear about it here! Fun choices for note cards!
Are you sure that you're promoting veggies with all those critters on the table? Ohhhh, THEY are promoting veggies. I get it. ☺
Amazing tablescapes. I should take notes. I think I'd be framing these they're so good.
This is a wonderful post!
True confession-
I have never eaten turnips!

So no carrots or turnips when you come to dinner.
I loved your cards with all the little animals.

Cute table! I can't believe it's already time for another notecard party -- and I missed it! I'm glad you got to join in the fun this month.
Nice table.
What delightful tables settings you have created here! Fun photos! (And I like most vegetables...including turnips. :D)
Your post sponsors are so cute! And I love vegetables - way more than fruit. I eat turnips, too - really like them. But I don't like lima beans, nor okra.
Fun note card collection!
Lol....turnippy. You're funny. I think I love all vegetables...especially Brussel sprouts, Artichokes and sweet potatoes! I love the place setting...what cool plates with the matching truck. Fun!!!
H Debbie,
What a good message......And I love the way you put it together.
I don't like turnips!!!
Have a good week

Adorable!
Kind of like Chick-fil-A's cows saying "Eat More Chicken!" :)
Beautiful table settings too....

Debbie .. I laughed out loud! Too cute. Love the tablescapes. Wonderful selections for Vee's party. I wasn't eating enough veggies so I signed up for home delivery of veggies ... locally grown produce ... organic and delivered to my front door every two weeks. Yummy!
I love your note cards and your fun tablescapes. Thanks for visiting and your sweet comment. Blessings, Pamela
i love them all. my most fav is the last ... the cow in the background make me smile. too cute!! (:
I'm a veggie girl for sure but I don't turn my nose up at meat either. :)
Your table is lovely and inviting as usual. Love those mason jar glasses!
Mind if I steal some of your ideas? This is a perfect look for summer. Very fun and festive!
I love your theme for the Note Card Party and so wonderfully done. Your photos are fantastic. I especially like the last one, "Beef".
Very clever tablescapes with your food theme this week! Loved the cows...
These card selections are so cute! LOVE the sponsors...especially those cows. (not that I'm prejudice in any way, shape, or form)
As for the vegetables, I will eat every vegetable that I know of except turnips and rutabagas. They taste similar to me. Both very turnippy. Great word, by the way. I don't care for turnip or collard greens, but I will eat them.
Thanks for sharing such a fun post.
I do like your table! Wonderful summery colors and the old truck is a delight!
Ah, yes. So now you know my alter ego. An overload of cats blog. With my dear friend and single follower, Mildred!
Hi Debbie, I've just recently found your blog. I think the first photo is my favorite. I just love your blue jean pockets for holders for the bandana napkins. What a great idea. Oh and the cows in the background in your last photo was so cute. I started following your blog.
Very very lovely. I always love your notecards and your table settings. You haven't missed much by not eating turnips or turnip GREENS - even worse. I don't know why my Mom grew these things. Either she likes them or they were easy to grow is my guess. Fortunately, people don't frequently prepare turnips so you don't have to worry about hurting their feeling much. But carrots? You don't like carrots? Hhhhmmmm
How perfect for a set of summertime notecards! I love the truck on your table...and those little piggies are just precious! I'm having some corn and limas on my table tonight!
Debbie~ I love this series of photoss of farm fresh table settings! The first one with the truck, almanac and redneck wine glasses is one of my favorites~ ranking right up there with your High Cotton tablescape :)
You are SO funny!!! I don't blame you on the turnip thing. I don't eat foods if the name sounds funny to me. Turnip is one of those foods. I don't eat eggplant or okra, either, for that very reason. The word "scallop" sounds too much like like "scalp" to me, so those are out, too. Any fritter is off limits. Fritter...who thought that crazy name up? I'm probably missing out on a lot of good stuff, but people shouldn't tell me the names of foods before I try them! ;-)
Debbie, how well I remember that tablescape in the first picture. One of my all time favs! When I first saw it, there was no Pinterest (at least that I knew about), so I'm excited to be able to pin it now. laurie
Oh so beautiful! Love the cows in the background too...Christine
Hi Debbie, Now how do all the bloggers know about all these "National" days? I should have done my organic veggie post now! And how do you have a proper Thanksgiving dinner without turnips? See, I'm full of questions today! Last night we had mixed green salad and broccoli and peppers and tomatoes at lunch, but blueberries and raspberries at breakfast. So hard to get any veggies in at that meal! Just in case you are worried that we are too healthy, today we're having ribs on the grill. Linda
A lovely summer table and a fantastic sense of humor!! It is also a perfect way to escape the heat of summer! Beautiful setting you made here!
